Privacy policy · Updated October 18, 2026

No sign-ups. No tracking.

Area 13 is a collection of daily puzzle games made by 13Beacons, LLC, available on the web at area13.app and as Area 13 for iPhone and iPad. This policy covers both.

What we collect

Nothing. Area 13 has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no cookies and no tracking. 13Beacons does not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal information.

What stays on your device

Your puzzle progress, statistics and settings are saved only on your own device (in the app, or in your browser's local storage on the web). They never leave it. Deleting the app or clearing your browser's site data erases them.

Leaderboards (optional)

In Area 13 for iPhone and iPad, if you are already signed in to Apple's Game Center, the app sends your best streak, total wins and achievement progress to Game Center so they appear on leaderboards. That data goes to Apple, not to 13Beacons, under Apple's privacy policy. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent.

Notifications (optional)

In Area 13 for iPhone and iPad, if you turn on new puzzle alerts, they are scheduled on your device. No notification server is involved and nothing is sent to 13Beacons.

Hosting

The website is served by Google Firebase Hosting. Like any web host, it handles basic technical information (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages; 13Beacons does not use it to identify or track visitors.

Children

Area 13 is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
